On the evening of August 28, 2001, Dr. Eugene You-Tsai Hsu was arrested by the U.S. Customs agents while in his home in Blue Springs, Missouri. He has been charged with conspiring with the Chinese government to export U.S. military technology.Not only is Dr. Hsu innocent of the charges, he has been the victim of numerous outrageous actions by the federal government. Dr. Hsu is now awaiting trial, scheduled for April 15, 2002, to be held at the U.S. District Court in Baltimore, Maryland. Dr. Hsu, 59 year-old Taiwan-born naturalized U.S. citizen, received a PhD in Education from Kansas State University. After many years as a teacher and a lecturer, entered the commercial sector in 1985, and worked in the machine tool industry for the past decade.
