Dr. Chen-To Tai Distinguished Educator Award was established in 2001 by the IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society in honor of Dr. Chen's contributions in electromagnetics. Dr. Chen was graduated from Harvard University with a D.Sc, degree. He retired after many years teaching as professor emeritus from the University of Michigan. The first recipient of the award is Dr. Ronald W. P. King, professor emeritus at Harvard. Dr. King is 96 years old and happens to be Dr. Tai's doctoral thesis advisor. Dr. Tai was able to present this award tat the APS/URSi Meeting last summer.
