Chinese American Academic and Professional Society holds its 27th annual conference on August 24


The Chiense American Academic and Professional Society will hold its 24th annual conference at the Bent Hall, St. Johns University, on August 24. This year's central them is "Reflections, Challenges, and Prospect after September 11." Speakers are Andrew Hsia, Director of Chinese Economic and Cultural Affairs Office of New York, Hsing-fu Hsueh, Mayor of Windsor City, New Jersey, and John Liu, New York City Councilman from Queens. There will be eleven topics, chaired by Dr. Tony W. T. Lin. Discussants include Yue J. Lin, Senior Engineer of New York-New Jersey Port Authority, Dr. Yue J. Lin, Pofessor at St. John's University, and many others. Announced by Dr. John Tseng, President of the Society, an academic achievement award will be presented to Dr. Yung-chi Cheng, Professor at Yale University and Member of Academic Sinica.
