The Asian Americans for Equality sponsors Chinatown Summer Festival 4 at Bayard Street between Elizabeth and Baxter Streets in Chinatown on Sunday, August 4, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Festival is intended to celebrate immigrants help support the rebuilding efforts of Lower Manhattan and over 300 restaurants and 600 retail shops in Chinatown. The Festival features live cultural entertainment, healthcare information, free "Living in America" - An Immigrant's Guide, booths by sponsors and government agencies, children's activities, free gifts and balloons, and Cantonese singing opera contest.
