Chinese School Association in the United States held its fourth national conference


The Chinese School Association in the United States held its fourth national conference on December 6-8, 2002 at Sheraton Hotel, O'Hare Airport, Chicago. Topics for discussion included Chinese language education in North America, methods in teaching Chinese, Chinese language education and community development, techniques of using the Internet in teaching Chinese, guiding Chinese children to learn Chinese, analysis, development, and revision of Chinese textbooks, Development of Chinese language schools and American main stream, promotion and development of CSAUS. More than 200 peoples attended the three-day conference.
CSAUS's National Conferences are held every two years. The First National Conference was held in Columbus, Ohio in October 1995. The Second National Conference was held in Houston, Texas in November 1997. And the third time it was in Washington DC in December 1999. Conference participants included educators and representatives from Chinese Schools all over the United States, officials, and experts from educational institutions in the United States and the People's Republic of China.
