In a letter to Chinese community, David Wu, Executive Director of the Pui Tak Center calls for financial support of the Center. The Center started by the Chinese Christian Union Church in Chicago's Chinatown provides services to nearly 2,000 Chinese children, youth, adults and seniors. Reported Wu, services provided by the Center in 2002 include: 1,155 adults attended English classes; the Computer Learning Center provided after school programs for kids and computer classes for adults; 73 children attended the Pul Tak Christian School from preschool through third grade; 180 children participated in the July Summer School Program; 46 children received small group tutoring in children's Tutoring Program; almost 20 children received affordable violin and piano lessons; 31 highschool youth attended after school program and tutoring; 21 immigrants became citizens through citizenship classes; 201 adults received one-to-one or small group tutoring from volunteers; numerous immigrants received free New Immigrant Guidebook. The Pui Tak Center is located at 2218 South Wentworth, Chicago.
