Dr. Frank Hsia-San Shu will be the president of the National Tsinghua University in Hsinchu, Taiwan. His appointment was reported in both Nature and Science. Dr. Shu is a prominent astronomer. Born on June 2, 1943, he received B.A. in Physics from M.I.T. in 1963 and Ph.D. in Astronomy from Harvard University in 1968. He is currently university professor, University of California, Berkeley, and a member of Academia Sinica in Taiwan.
