New count of victims of the September 11 terrorist attacks


According to the Associated Press, the official count of victims of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks is 309 are missing, 622 death certificates have been issued by the medical examiner's office, and an additional 1,982 certificates issued without a body, at the request of victims' families in New York. More Chinese confirmed dead include Jennifer Chu of Queens, Alex Chiang, and Eddie Wing Wai Ching. Mr. Chiang, 51, was a computer specialist at Marsh & McLennan. Mr. Ching, 29, worked as a client support administrator for UmeVoice. He bought a house in New Jersey and intended to propose marriage to his girlfriend.
