The New York Times sponsors "Free Screenings for Times Readers" in celebration of Chinese Cinema through July 12. The celebration consists of a series of films for ten weeks.. Week 9 includes two Chinese films: "A Soul Haunted by Painting" on Wednesday, July 3 at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, July 7 at 11:00 a.m.; and "Woman Human Demon" on Friday, July 5 at 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, July 6 at 9:00 a.m. Films are in mandarin with English subtitles.
