A banquet dinner, "Heart of the Heart: China Hebei Week," in honor of a delegation from China's Hebei Province and in celebration of Thirty Years Anniversary of US-China Relations was held at Navy Pier on June 1. A number of awards were presented during the dinner. The banquet features after dinner performance including dance, acrobatics, juggling with feet, folk instruments ensembles, banhu and jinghu solo, and percussion ensembles. The Hebei delegation is lead by Mr. Zhang Qunsheng. Mr. Zhang is chairman of Hebei Provincial Foreign Culture Exchange Association and senior economic adviser of Hebei Provincial People Government. Hebei surrounds Beijing and neighbors with Tianjin. Its geographical position is between 36003' - 42040' and 113027' - 119050'E. The total area is 187.7 thousand square kilometers. It has 11 cities, 173 counties, 54 nationalities and a population of 66.9891 million. The provincial capital, Shijiazhuang, 283 km south of Beijing. Activities of the Hebei Week consisted of exhibition at the Daley Center and conference with American business community at the Trade Center.
