Trolleys will start running in Chicago Chinatown

On May 25, the trolleys will resume running after the last run in 1954 on Cermak through Chinatown and Pilsen in Chicago. Mike Conklin writes, "the trolley cars coming to Chinatown and Pilsen, the respective hearts of the city's large Chinese-American and Mexican-American populations, represent a new loop for Chicago's Free Trolley System, which for two years has serviced traditional tourist stops on Michigan Avenue, Navy Pier, the Museum Campus and McCormick Place." (Chicago Tribune, May 22, 2002).
