The martial art actor Jackie Chan confesses in an interview with Steve Dollar of New York Daily News: "He's got mid-career jitters. It's one of the reasons, besides his admiration for Dream Works honcho Steven Spielberg, that he's in 'The Tuxedo,' released a week ago." Chan wants to start changing his movie characters. He says: "I don't want to play always the same. CIA, FBI. "Rush Hour 1-2-3-4." I want to be an actor! . . . I want to be a star, a star who can act. But Jackie movie? Always action, yeah. Action. Action. Comedy." He's clearly eager to broaden his reach behind what he's always done best. (Source: New York Daily News, Oct. 6, 2002).
