ENERI Communications, LLC which has operated for two and a half years announces Monday, April 22. 2003 that the company will be in physical transition and downsize its full operational status to a lower-speed, effective no later than mid-year 2003. ENERI is a advertising and communications firm. It udertakes many pro bono projects for Asian Americans in the Mid-West. Says Irene Cualoping, its managing partner, principal and founder, "This is in no way due to a belief that an entity like ENERI is not needed in the Midwest... quite the contrary, our experience has shown that if anything, it is needed sorely, more than ever... "
Ms. Cualoping has a diverse background including eight years experience in the public sector in government /business; seven years in corporate/legal and real estate; three years in a law firm setting; two and a half years in entrepreneurship as the owner of ENERI; and seven years as a freelance columnist and photojournalist. She served as Executive Director of the Illinois Human Rights Commission (1999 - 2000); and Executive Director of the Business Enterprise Program for Minorities, Females, and Persons with Disabilities of the Illinois Department of Central Management Services (1992 - 1999). Prior to joining state government, she was an attorney and manager for Chicago Title Insurance Company (1984 - 1992). Ms. Cualoping has also helped raise thousands of dollars for numerous local and national civic and charitable causes. She is currently an advisory board member of the Chinese American Service League, Inc., a member of the Chicago College of Performing Arts Board of Roosevelt University, where she serves on the development committee; and a founding director of Angel Island Theatre Company. Ms. Cualoping is a graduate of The John Marshall Law School; and of Loyola University of Chicago, where she majored in political science and minored in communication arts. Ms. Cualoping has made many radio, TV and emcee appearances, and is regularly invited to speak on a wide variety of topics.
