The 15th Annual Washington Seminar on US-China Relations will be held at Washington Plaza Hotel in Washington, D.C., on May 1-2m 2003. The purpose of the seminar is to provide a forum to consider issues relevant to relations between the United States and China through interaction with experts at the leading edge of US-China relations. This year's main theme is: China and the United States: New Directions, New Challenges. The two-day seminar features speeches on current Sino-U.S. relations, State Department briefings, HIV/AIDS in China, the six components of China's central state structure, Chinese delegation briefings, banquet dinner and the closing reception at the Chinese Embassy. The seminar is sponsored by US-China Peoples Friendship Association, George-Washington University, GSEHD Office of International Activities, and University of Minnesota China Center.
