The Chinese Five Arts Society (CFAS) will present awards to talented young musicians on Sunday, November 23, 2:00 p.m. followed by winners' concert at the Chicago Cultural Center, Preston Bradley Hall. The concert is in collaboration with the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs. The Virginia Dorothy Geyser Behrendt Music Scholarship Foundation will present an annual special scholarship to one young talented musician in this event. CFAS held a music contest at De Paul University on October 19. The Chinese fine Arts Society, founded in 1984, provides programs and activities which serve as a cultural bridge between the East and the West.
