Early Thanksgiving by CASL Associate Board

The Chinese American Service League Associate Board in Chicago will deliver an early Thanksgiving to 350 senior citizens in Chicago's Chinatown on Saturday, November 22. Beginning at 10:30 a.m., the CASL associate board will deliver bags of donated food to four senior housing developments in the Chinatown neighborhood as part of its annual "Friends for a Smile Program".

CASL's Associate Board members will begin packing food at 9 a.m. and deliver first to the CASL Senior Housing Development at 2108 South Princeton, then to the Chinatown Elderly Apartments, and seniors in both the Archer Court Apartments and the Shields Apartments.

The Associate Board seeks to further the goals and ideals of the Chinese American Service League by organizing and promoting volunteer work in the community, coordinating and participating in fundraising and benefit activities, and stimulating awareness of CASL throughout the Chicago area and in adjacent Midwestern states.
