Rong-Yan Tang and other two violinists, Wendy Koone and Hermine Gagré, are hired by the Chicago Orchestra. (CSO). Tang, 30, who served as associate cencertmaster of the Ft. Wayne, Indiana, Philharmonic, was tapped for CSO as the first section violinist by Daniel Barenboim. Tang, born in Shanghai, was educated at Louisiana State University and the Cleveland Institute of Music. She started playing violin at age of 4.
