California Governor-elect Arnold Schwarzenegger announced September 9 his 65-member transition team. Four Chinese Americans are included. They are: Viet Dinh, law professor at Georgetown University, former U.S. Justice Department official; Matt Fong, former state treasurer and 1998 Republican nominee for U.S. Senate; Sean Liou, travel company president and member of White House advisory panel on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders; and Sophie Wong, Asian community leader and former member of state Board of Medical Quality Assurance. The Los Angeles Times calls it a "broadly bipartisan transition team."
