In memory of Chancellor Chang-Lin Tien, a key founder of 80-20 and the first Asian American
to become the president of a major university (The University of California, Berkeley), 80-20
will sponsor up to 3 student
interns in 2005. The stipend is $1000 per month from June 1 to August 31,2005.
The Memorial Fund was started by classmates of Chang-Lin Tien, the Mechanical Engineering
Class of 1955, National Taiwan University.
The Interns are to recruit dues-paying members for 80-20. They must meet a weekly recruitment
goal of 5 per week, which sounds easy but is not. While the interns will be taught the rules of
political organizing and be given a lot of moral support. To apply, visit: http://www.80-20initiative.net/intern.html
