The National Association of Asian American Professionals (NAAAP) in San Francisco will hold an Entrepreneur's Forum in San Mateo on September 7. The forum will discuss current issues in international IP strategies in a global business context. The presentation first covers a description of the variety of intellectual property rights, as well as how each applies to different technologies. While addressing the US patent practice, the talk mostly focuses on strategic options for offshore development, inlcuding offshore incentives, tax issues and the international market, and the benefits of IP. A business model of cross-border developments and IP transfer is also discussed as well as advice on licensing terms and country selection.
Kiran Jethwa, serial entreprenuer, will be moderating the discussions. This event is open to the general public.
