San Francisco State University will establish a Chinese language study center to house a Confucius Institute to meet a growing demand for Chinese language classes. The Confucius Institute that aims to make language instruction readily available to anyone who needs or wishes to learn Chinese, has offices around the world and announced this month that it had chosen San Francisco State to host a branch along with others in New York, Chicago and Washington, D.C.
