The Chinatown Economic Development Group served a court order on the Chinese Chamber of Commerce, asking for the return of a missing tourist kiosk. The chamber said it had the kiosk removed because it had been abandoned. The Chinatown group argued it had five-year lease to rent the kiosk from the chamber for a dollar a year.
Superior Court Judge Ronald Quidachay ordered Fwbruary 15 the kiosk returned. (Source: Vanessa Hua Xzn, San Francisco Chronicle, Feb. 2005)
