A study released by the Consortium on Chicago School Research at the University of Chicago indicates that Asian students dropout rate is the lowest among all races. Students age 13 in 1998 who graduated high school in Chicago by age 19 are rated as follows: Asian girls 85% and boys 76%; White girls 71% and boys 58%; Latino girls 65% and girls 58%; and Black girls 57% and boys 39%.
