In January, the Postal Service released the Chinese zodiacs stamps sheet representing 12 animals - the Rat, Ox, tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Ram, Monkey, rooster, dog and Pig. The first stamp for the "Year of the Rooster" was issued in 1993 t0 honor Chinese Americans.. The stamps were designed by Clarence Lee.
A Lunar New Year of collection of stamp ingots are to be produced by the Hallmark Group Unlimited, Minneapolis, Minnesota. The collection consists of twelve 24-karat gold-layered, solid silver stamp ingots priced at $88 each.
