Committee of 100 new members


The committee of 100 recently announced three new members. They are former Washington State Governor Gary Locke, retired Rear Admiral Ming E. Chang of the U.S. Navy and technology millionaire Jen-Hsun Huang.

Locke was the first Chinese American to ever be elected as governor, serving from 1997-2005. Chang became the first Asian American naval officer to reach flag rank and served as U.S. Department of the Navy Inspector General and VP for Business Development of Raytheon Company. Huang co-founded NVIDIA, one of the largest semiconductor companies in the world.

The Committee of 100 was founded in 1989. Its mission is to encourage stronger ties between the U.S. and China, while also encouraging full participation of Chinese Americans in American society.
