David Wong Committee celebrates victory
David Wong, a Chinese immigrant was exonerated in December 2004 for conviction of a murder in 1983 he did not commit.
About 230 people attended a banquet in New York City Chinatown to celebrate his exoneration.

Wong currently is in a Homeland Security detention center near Buffalo, awaiting either release from prison or deportation. Wong is now willing to be deported. (Source: Lisa Wong Macabasco. (Source: AsianWeek, July 1, 2005).
