Asian American health web site will conduct online focus group

The Office of Outreach and Special Populations at the National Library of Medicine, NIH, asks a few questions in preparation for an upcoming online focus group on the Asian American
Health Website (http://asianamericanhealth.nlm.nih.gov).
The Office will be conducting an online focus group on Thursday, June 23rd at 6:30 p.m. Eastern time. This group will be comprised of a mix of health professionals serving Asian American populations, as well as interested/involved community health leaders, to discuss the Website Asian American Health, an information portal to issues affecting the health and well-being of Asian Americans.
The Office would like to know if persons (1) have a listserv; (2) feel that the listserv subscribers would be appropriate potential participants in this research evaluation, and (3) would be willing to send out a notice about the upcoming focus group.
The listserv notice (which is attached and should be posted on or around Wednesday, June 8, will invite subscribers to participate in this 90-minute online focus group. This group will allow subscribers to offer their opinions, attitudes, and perceptions on the content, functioning, and overall value of the Website. In return for their voluntary participation, they will receive an incentive payment of $45.
This Website evaluation offers an opportunity for potential users of the website to contribute to the ongoing improvement, development, and tailoring of the site to the needs of the Asian American community.
Those who express an interest in being part of the online focus group will be asked to answer a few questions about their occupations and locations (city/state, to capture a broad range of geographical regions). Those who are selected will be asked to participate in the focus group, which they can do from the convenience of their own computers.
