The United States and China have a common interest in regional and global stability, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice says. In remarks with Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhao Xing in Beijing March 21, Rice said the two countries have a common interest "in a more peaceful and secure Asia Pacific, as well as a peaceful and secure world -- a world that is free from the threat of terrorism, free from the threat of proliferation of weapons of mass destruction."
