The Chinatown Museum Foundation invites everyone to attend the grand opening of the Chinese American Museum of Chicago and its inaugural exhibition on Saturday, May 21 at 238 23rd Street, Chicago. Its inaugural exhibition, "Paper sons: Chinese in the Midwest 1870-1945," will be the first comprehensive exhibition devoted to the subject. It tells the stories of early Chinese immigrants to Chicago and other neighboring cities. The 150 photographs and 70 objects in the show have been assembled from a dozon private and public collections in the Midwest as well as the West coast.
