The Chinese American Librarians Association California Chapter and the California Library Association will jointly sponsor a forum, Bridging Cultural Gap: Library Services in User's Language," at the Pasadena Convention Center, Pasadena, California on November 6, 2005, 4:45-6:00 p.m. Banquet follows.
A panel of experts from public, academic and special libraries will discuss how to provide library services to users by using the power of Internet, as well as the traditional means including print and A/V materials. The panel will also discuss how to reach out to library users by providing contents that are appealing to those users of difference ethnic backgrounds, specifically, Asian.
