The hosts of the daily morning show, WFNY-FM's "The Dog House With JV and Elvis," have been suspended indefinitely without pay for using racist, vulgar, and sexist words. One of the hosts, Jeff Vandergrift, apologized on Monday's show
The Organization of Chinese Americans (OCA) said on April 24 they demand the immediate dismissal of the two hosts as well as the producer of a prank call show from CBS Radio, in which the hosts called employees of a Chinese restaurant and used "racist, vulgar and sexist" profanities. "CBS's decision to suspend the two hosts is not enough. The hosts will come back and the producer is still working. We demand firing all of them," OCA-New York President Vicki Shu Smolin said Chinese Americans are encouraged to write to the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) to build up pressure on CBS.
