President Bush arrived at Los Angeles International Airport April 4 and presented a President's
Volunteer Service Award to 22-year-old Hannah Locke, a senior at Pitzer College in Claremont.
Locke received the award in recognition of her work with Jumpstart, a national program that
pairs college students with at-risk preschool students, officials said.
The President's Volunteer Service Award is given to youths ages 14 and younger who have
completed 50 hours of volunteer service and individuals ages 15 and older who have completed
100 hours of service. Since March 2002, 575 people have received the President's Volunteer
Service Award. (Source: CBS, Apr 4, 2007).
