The U.S-China Chamber of Commerce will offer a cross-cultural workshop on September 10, 2007 in Chicago. The workshop will consist of the following topics: (1) China: A Historical Perspective from the Xia Dynasty; (2) The Structure of the People's Republic of China; (3)The Lay of the Land: Demographics and Geography; (4) Understanding the Chinese Cultural Spectrum from Confucianism to Superstition; and (5) An Introduction to the Chinese language and Putonghua. There is a fee for attending the workshop.
