Angelin Chang won Grammy Award

Angelin Chang (Cleveland Chamber Symphony) is one of the winners at February 11th 48th Annual Grammy Awards at Staples Center in Los Angeles. She performed soloist (with orchestra): "Messiaen: Oiseaux Exotiques (Exotic Birds)," John McLaughlin Williams, conductor.

Angelin Chang earned her Doctor of Musical Arts from Peabody Institute - Johns Hopkins University, Premier Prix - Piano and Premier Prix - Musique de Chambre from the Paris Conservatoire, Master of Music and Distinguished Performer Certificate from Indiana University, B.A. (French) and B.M. from Ball State University, and highest honors upon graduation from the Interlochen Arts Academy. Her piano teachers have included Michel Béroff, Marie-Françoise Bucquet, Yoheved Kaplinsky, Yvonne Loriod-Messiaen, Robert McDonald, Menahem Pressler, Pia Sebastiani, György Sebök, Louis-Claude Thirion and Dorothy Taubman.
