The society of Chinese American Professors and Scientists (SoCAPS) is soliciting applicants for a limited number of travel grants for Chinese American professors and scientists for participation in the SoCAPS 2007 summer delegation to attend the GCC-07 conference and/or visit the XinJiang University, including visit the International Research Institute of Scalable Software. This grant covers part of the international travel between USA and China (one-way economic class airline ticket) and/or domestic travel (connect international flight to Urumchi, Xinjiang) and boarding (during the meeting and any SoCAPS organized activity period).
GCC-2007, the 6th International Conference on Grid and Cooperative Computing, is a leading conference in Grid and cooperative computing, sponsored by IEEE and CCF (Chinese Computer Federation), and supported by the Ministry of Education of P. Only Chinese-origin professors and scientists who are affiliated with a US institution may apply. Attendees affiliated with a non-US institution are not eligible for this grant. To apply for a travel grant, send the following required documents together in a single e-mail to Professor Xian-He Su at sun@iit.edu. Evaluation will start at July 13. No application will be accepted after July 25, 2007. (1) An application letter to state the reason you like to attend GCC07 (e.g. author, panelist, committee member, attendee, observer, etc.) and/or visit XinJiang University. (2) A copy of your curriculum vitae. Documents will only be accepted in PDF or Word version.
