USABC created to advocate for US and Asian businesses

Business, government and community leaders joined together May 13 in New York City to launch the US Asian Business Council. Based in New York City with Regional Offices in Chicago, Los Angeles, Houston, and Washington DC -- the US Asian Business Council was launched to advocate for US and Asian Businesses and Entrepreneurs within the United States and internationally.

The US Asian Business Council (USABC) is a partnership between private and public entities working alongside business organizations to advance the growth of US and Asian Businesses. Founding Corporate members include Western Union, State Farm Insurance, Coca Cola Corporation, Waitex Corporation, Mercedes Benz USA LLC, and Washington Mutual.

The USABC Board of Directors is composed of major corporate leaders from around the country interested in nurturing the growth of the Asian business community. It will be managed by Mr. Jimmy D. Lee (tel.: 202-255-5301) , former Executive Director of the White House Initiative on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders.
