Now more than ever, China's rise is strongly influencing the course of world affairs, economic and political developments in the United States, and the daily lives of American citizens, from coast to coast and from all walks of life. China Town Hall is a national day of programming that gives Americans in 30 cities the opportunity to hear directly from policy-makers and specialists about these issues and the implications for U.S. policy and their own communities.
The National Committee presents this program, which features a nationwide talk by Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Thomas Christensen and local presentations by specialists on topics ranging from foreign policy to trade relations to law. Each program is cosponsored by the National Committee and a local organization(s). China Town Hall is generously underwritten by The Starr Foundation.
