Fu Shen Kuo guilty of procuring women to work as prostitutes

Fu Shen Kuo, 39, accused of luring women from China to American Samoa and forcing them to work as prostitutes has pleaded guilty in federal court in Honolulu. He will be sentenced on October 15.

The FBI says two of the women paid $2000 to travel to the U-S territory to get jobs as cashiers at a grocery store. Instead they were imprisoned in a karaoke bar and made to have sex with customers. After six months, the women escaped by climbing down a rope from the third-story balcony of the bar. (Source: Radio New Zealand International, May 14, 2007).
