The U.S. Asia Center (USAC), in partnership with U.S. Asian Business Council (USABC), sponsored the second symposium in a multi-city tour to address the state of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) businesses in the United States. The symposium was held on Wednesday, November 14 at the Hilton Tampa Airport Westshore in Tampa Bay, Florida and drew over 125 businessmen and women from the Tampa Bay area. The symposium was co-sponsored by the Indo-U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the Chinese Chamber of Commerce and the Philippine American Chamber of Commerce.
The symposium incorporated a panel presentation on the economic influence and potential of the Asian American and Pacific Islander community. The symposium tour will continue in the regions of Orange County, California and Kansas City, Kansas.
