Gary Min gets 18 months for stealing trade secrets

Gary Min, 44, born in China and is also known as Yonggang Min, a former DuPont Co. senior scientist who admitted that he stole trade secrets from the company was sentenced November 6to 18 months in federal prison. He also must pay a fine of $30,000. Before being sentenced, Min apologized for his "unwise behavior."

Min joined DuPont's research laboratory in Circleville, Ohio, in 1995 after completing his doctoral degree in chemistry at the University of Pennsylvania under the late Nobel laureate Alan MacDiarmid. (Source: AP, International Herald Tribune, Nov 6, 2007)
