Former White House official and community leader Jimmy Lee has filed his candidacy petitions
to succeed retiring Congressman Jerry Weller. Lee filed his petitions November 6 at the State
Board of Elections in Springfield, submitting almost twice the number of signatures necessary,
less than two weeks after announcing his candidacy.
Jimmy Lee, a respected community leader and public policy advocate, brings the energy, passion
and experience that make him the clear choice in the Republican field. His advocacy of holding
the line on federal spending, a strong national defense, and pro-family issues clearly resonate
with voters in the 11th Congressional District.
Jimmy Lee resides in North Utica, LaSalle County, Illinois.
