Jimmie Wing, a native Californian and Sacramento resident, and his two brothers put their resources together to honor their parents by naming them to the Sacramento Public Library's Founders' Circle.
Jimmie's great-grandfather and father came to San Francisco from China in 1910 and later moved to Sacramento. Wing's family opened a grocery store in the early 1920s. Jimmie retired in1993 as an attorney for the Office of Legislative Council of the U.S. House of Representatives. (Source: AsianWeek, Nov 25, 2007).
