Bing Xu, 37, of Nanjing was charged October 31 with attempting to export night-vision technology from the United States in violation of the U.S. arms embargo. Xu works for Everbright Science & Technology Co. Ltd., of Nanjing, China, was ordered held without bail by U.S. Magistrate Esther Salas.
