US House resolution in support of arms sales to Taiwan

The U.S. House of Representatives on October 2 passed a resolution declaring that the United States would continue to provide Taiwan weapons for its defense. The resolution mentioned the U.S. Defense Department's recent report on China's military. That report, according to the resolution, concluded that a greatly improved Chinese military "poses an increasing threat to Taiwan and ultimately to the United States military presence in Asia."
