Dr. Feihe Huang and Dr. Tao Zhang are two 2007 recipients of awards from the United States Lee Foundation. Each receives RMB38,000.
Dr. Feihe Huang was granted the Excellence in Creativity Award, whereas Dr. Tao Zhang the Academic Development Award. The United States Lee Foundation was established in 1956, its purpose is to "help developing countries train qualified personnel." After the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the United States, the Foundation has provided nearly 100 Chinese students studying PhD scholarships, and that the winners must return home after graduation services. In 1993, the Foundation established the "Lee Foundation Outstanding Achievement Award" to help overseas outstanding students studying overseas to return home after a doctorate was engaged in related research and teaching, and give better play to their roles.
