Nanking Massacre Memorial Painting Exhibition, December 15-24
The Nanking Massacre Memorial Painting Exhibition will be held December 15-24 at the Silicon Valley Asian Art Center,. 3777 Stevens Creek Blvd, 4th floor, (at the cross of Saratoga Ave.) Santa Clara, CA 95051 (Tel.: 408-248-2698 ).
This year marks the 70th anniversary of the Nanking Massacre. In December 1937, the Japanese army invaded, burned, and looted the city of Nanking. They killed 300,000 unarmed Chinese, and raped at least 20,000 women. The pain from this tragedy was felt not only by the Chinese, but also by peace-loving people of the world.
The first station for the touring display is Bay area. From there it is planed be displayed all across the United States. They will be shown at respective cities, and finally in Washington D. C.
