David Ho honored at International Leadership Foundation gala

International Leadership Foundation to honor Asian American Pioneers: TIME Magazine's Man of the Year Dr. David Ho and entrepreneur Kanwal Rekhi at Annual Gala Dinner, at the Washington Hilton on Thursday, July 26, 2007 at 1919 Connecticut Avenue, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20009 at 6 p.m.

This year's theme is "A Salute to Asian Pacific American Pioneers." Please register online at www.ILEADER.org. Dr. David D. Ho, M.D. is the founding Scientific Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Aaron Diamond AIDS Research Center, a world-renowned biomedical research institute. He is also the Irene Diamond Professor at The Rockefeller University. Dr. Ho has been at the forefront of AIDS research for 2 years and his research team is now devoting considerable efforts to develop vaccines to halt the spread of the AIDS epidemic. Dr. Ho has received numerous awards and honors for his scientific accomplishments including Time Magazine's Man of the Year in 1996, and a Presidential Medal in 2001.
