The U.S. Census Bureau, together with local Census partners in the Chinese-American community will hold a press conference April 27 at 3:30 pm, at the Chinese Community Center, 62 Mott Street, 2nd Floor, New York, NY 10013, to discuss the "non-response follow-up" (NRFU) enumeration phase of the 2010 Census. The press conference will provide information in English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
Beginning May 1, census takers will go door to door to collect information from households that did not return their census form. The enumeration phase is a crucial step to achieve a full and accurate count, and it is important for community groups to remain active in the process. At this forum, Census representatives, Census partners, local officials and community leaders will encourage their constituents to open their doors and cooperate with census takers.
