Former President Chen Shui-bian and his wife Wu Shu-jen were convicted of corruption in a final verdict handed down Thursday November 11 by the Supreme Court in connection with bribe-taking in a land procurement deal related to the Hsinchu Science Park and in the appointment of Diana Chen as chairwoman of the Taipei Financial Center Corp.
